Fifteen uploads fill The Daily Downshift's automotive oddities shelf

Gasoline in a Tesla, a zombie-themed Cybertruck and a keyless-car question give the week's lineup very different flavors.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

The Daily Downshift is smaller in subscribers than several nearby motoring channels, but its weekly viewing was especially busy. It added more views than any of the other eight channels in that group, while MattieFlips had the larger subscriber gain. Here, the audience grew by about 5,000 subscribers.

The upload schedule gave those new arrivals plenty to browse. "Pumped Gas in Tesla Fiction ⛽️ (Fiction)" was the most watched new video, passing a million views. This is a fictional premise, not footage documenting a real Tesla refueling mishap. Beneath it, viewers keep playing with the pronunciation of Tesla, turning "Tesula" and its many spelling variations into the recurring joke.

But the week wasn't entirely electric-car make-believe. "Why Cars Run Without Keys 🔑" puts an everyday automotive question beside the more sensational premises of "Wobbly Wheel Scam🛞" and "This Pole Splits Cars into Halves🖖". That mixture of practical curiosity and improbable situations gives the busy lineup its particular character.

For momentum right now, "Cybertruck vs Zombies 🧟" is drawing the most daily views, followed by the gasoline-in-a-Tesla fiction. Channel-wide daily viewing is more than twice its usual level, though that describes the current pace rather than the entire week. The third video in the channel's current momentum lineup is a much smaller, fresh addition: "Never Let Cyber cab Sleep 💤", bringing another electric-vehicle premise onto the shelf.
