Dragon's Dogma joins Synthetic Man's superhero-heavy viewing shelf
A single new upload accompanies a library where Wolverine, James Bond and Halo remain the strongest daily draws.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
Draggin' Dong: Schlong Arisen (2)
One upload, unchanged subscribers. Synthetic Man's new Dragon's Dogma-themed video drew just under 10,000 views in its first five hours, giving an otherwise archive-centered week something fresh. Its brief description names Dragon's Dogma 2 and Dark Arisen, without elaborating on the connection.
The larger viewing draw remains "Marvel's Wolverine is Peak Clown World", now past half a million views. Synthetic Man's sharply negative review moves through combat, bosses and level design before taking a lengthy trip through the story, including Jean Grey, Trask Tower and Sabertooth. His comparison with Insomniac's earlier games makes the central concern clear: he argues that cinematic presentation has come at the expense of play.
That concern also runs through "007 First Light is Everything Wrong with Modern Gaming", the channel's next-largest daily draw. Its breakdown makes room for stealth, melee, driving and comparisons with Hitman. "Halo: Campaign DEvolved" rounds out the busiest viewing shelf with scrutiny of weapons, movement and level design.
The library added about 180,000 views over the week. Subscribers stayed unchanged, while daily viewing is currently well below its usual pace: the older, detailed critiques are carrying more of the activity than the lone new upload.
