Film Riot, a channel of almost exactly StudioBinder's size, spent the week a little below its usual pace, and most of the art and craft channels in the wider group were running slower than normal too. StudioBinder's own week was a busy one: fifteen uploads, most of them patient lessons in the mechanics of moviemaking.

A whole run went to camera dollies. There is "How To Use a Dolly," plus separate looks at the heavy-duty Chapman and Fisher models and the lighter Dana dollies. It is the kind of gear-by-gear walkthrough the filmmaking studio's channel is known for. Another thread took on eyelines, with a short on matching height and angle and one on the mirror trick behind the eyelines in The Odyssey.

The standout came late. "Why Filmmakers Change the Size of the Screen" went up on Monday and opened far stronger than anything else in the batch, with ten times the first-day crowd of the dolly lessons. Two days on, it is still gathering views much faster than its siblings. The eyeline short posted the same day sits a distant second, and the five-day-old dolly how-to comes third.
