"I Tried Every Ice Cream Flavor at Korean Baskin Robbins" has drawn about 720,000 views in its first fifteen hours. Its attraction is more specific than an enormous dessert order: a familiar American chain serves a strikingly different menu in South Korea, with tea, wasabi and Korean street-snack flavors joining the chocolate and cookies.
There is a practical qualification to "every." The branch offers a hundred flavors, but skipping familiar US options and diet duplicates leaves 83 to taste. Mini-scoop flights keep the project organized by category, though organization only goes so far. "Fair warning: I am starting to feel a little crazy," Safiya says during the cookie round.
The surprises aren't confined to fanciful names like Mom Is an Alien. One chocolate-category scoop contains real truffle and olive oil. Later, Tyler finds the wasabi ice cream tastes like horseradish, while Apple Mint becomes a favorite. Safiya picks out Green Tea Earl Grey for praise but finds Green Tea Caramel overly grassy.
Help arrives in shifts. Hyun joins the nutty flavors and chooses Vanilla Almond Fudge; food creator Karissa Dumbacher, known as KarissaEats, assists with the fruit and cheesecake varieties. Viewers are already imagining the next logical Safiya experiment: melting the flavors together, much as she has done with lipsticks and candles.
The video includes a paid Airalo segment. It was filmed in May, and Safiya notes that some flavors have since changed, so it is a tasting record rather than a guaranteed menu for a visit today.
The final Korean-flavor flight explores injeolmi, hotteok, dalgona candy and roasted chestnuts before Safiya and Tyler build a custom cone from their favorite scoops.
