A judge has asked for more resources so work can continue without interruption at the Urda railway crash site in Spain's Toledo province, according to RTVE Noticias, the news service of Spanish public broadcaster Radiotelevisión Española.
Reporting from Urda, Manuela Pérez describes the request to infrastructure manager Adif and train operator Renfe. The footage shows cranes and heavy machinery at the wreckage, the relocation of the command post and work to widen access routes so the carriages can be removed.
The report, titled "56 víctimas identificadas de las 69 fallecidas | RTVE Noticias" (56 of the 69 people killed identified), also explains why some families are still waiting. Guardia Civil psychologist Andrés López says all the Spanish victims have been identified, while identification remains pending for some foreign nationals.
Esther Padilla, spokesperson for the Castilla-La Mancha regional government, says international cooperation is needed to complete that process. A reporter at Toledo's diocesan house describes the progress in identifying victims, while López outlines the direct support being provided to Spanish families.
From Toledo University Hospital, Irene Santamaría reports that 41 injured people remain hospitalized across Madrid and Castilla-La Mancha, most of them in Toledo. Seventy-nine people have been discharged in Castilla-La Mancha, she says, and patients are making favorable progress.
Padilla adds that the number in intensive care has fallen from 31 to 13. While the overall hospital admission count remains unchanged in this update, fewer patients require that highest level of care.
