Rex H's real-life car unlocks include an unlikely EVO ute
The Mitsubishi-inspired pickup project shares the active catalog with a wrecked sports car bought for his girlfriend.

Finally PAINTING The EVO UTE Mitsubishi Never Made
Rex H's garage has a mission statement straight out of a racing game: unlock Gran Turismo's hidden cars, but in real life. With no new uploads this week, two rather different interpretations of that ambition supplied the busiest viewing.
“I BOUGHT A WRECKED SPORTS CAR FOR MY GIRLFRIEND” remains the biggest daily draw, nearly nine months after it arrived. It has passed 1.2 million views and is attracting more attention each day than either of the active EVO ute episodes. Those take the project from “BUILDING THE EVO UTE THAT MITSUBISHI NEVER MADE | Part 4” to “Finally PAINTING The EVO UTE Mitsubishi Never Made,” with the build's tags pointing to a Proton Jumbuck conversion and metal fabrication. A pickup with Evolution ambitions is a fairly literal way to make a car you cannot simply buy.
The catalog added about 133,000 views over the week, while subscribers stayed unchanged. Daily viewing is currently around half its usual pace. Nearby motoring channels are also running below their typical daily levels, although The Daily Downshift had a particularly substantial weekly gain. For Rex H, the continuing attraction is the garage's mix of damaged-car possibilities and a Mitsubishi-inspired machine of his own making.
