David Attenborough's giant dinosaur skeleton carries Real Wild's documentary week

Land of the Forest Giants: A Lone Mother Moose's Fight for Survival
Twenty days after it went up, "David Attenborough Presents: The Largest Dinosaur Skeleton On Earth" is still the film doing most of the work on Real Wild, past a third of a million views and gathering far more each day than anything newer on the channel. Attenborough has fronted natural history on British television for about seven decades, and a skeleton big enough to carry his name in the title seems to have found its audience.
Four new documentaries arrived alongside it, and they cover a lot of ground. There is a lone mother moose in "Land of the Forest Giants," a trek after North America's last wild horses, a dive among the big predators of the dark North Atlantic and, only half a day old, a BBC-labeled film on how elephants survive the great migration. The wild horses got off to the brightest start of the four, and the elephants are keeping pace with them early on.
Overall, the channel ran a bit below its usual daily views, and subscriber numbers held steady. Nearly every documentary channel nearby was in the same soft patch, from BBC deepwatch to Banijay History. Channel 4 Documentaries was the exception, running a little above its normal pace.
