Phone Repair Guru peels the Duo's screen film off

The display still works afterward, but the folding phone's central crease becomes a little more noticeable.

Phone Repair Guru starts with a heat gun and a warning he is about to disregard. "Apple doesn't recommend you tear off the nano-texture display on the Duo, so that's what we're going to do," he says.

A plastic prying card lifts the edge, then the film steadily comes away from the folding screen. The immediate result is less dramatic than the setup: the display still functions, though the crease looks slightly more pronounced. "The phone still looks fine and works great," he says, before ending with an instruction not to try it yourself.

The Short, titled "Apple Doesn't Want You To Do This... #Shorts", drew about 1.8 million views in its first day, roughly fourteen times the channel's usual Shorts start. A separate upload, "He's Going To Snap This... #Shorts", also drew an unusually large first-day audience alongside the channel's full Duo teardown.

In the comments, the practical question is whether the removed layer can be replaced like an ordinary scratched screen protector. Other viewers compare his heat-and-card approach with JerryRigEverything's removal by hand. Phone Repair Guru demonstrates that this particular display works immediately after the peel; the closing warning makes clear he is not recommending the experiment.
