Outdoor Tom's salmon-and-grizzly adventure passes a million views
The fishing trip's milestone comes alongside a channel-wide viewing day more than five times its usual size.
Why this story? The whole channel is running at 1,090,896 views a day, 5.6 times a normal day (193,329).
(103 Salmon & 7 Grizzlies) Epic Alaska Adventure
The jump is channel-wide. Outdoor Tom drew about 1.1 million views in a day, more than five times its usual daily pace, as Thomas's latest Alaska fishing adventure passed a million views of its own.
The family trip we reported here has reached roughly 1.3 million views since its October 24 release. Its title, "(103 Salmon & 7 Grizzlies) Epic Alaska Adventure", puts the catch and the wildlife up front. Thomas says the group caught close to twice as many salmon as they filmed, with foxes also appearing during the trip.
Thomas traveled with his dad, cousin and grandpa to Katmai Lodge on the Alaska Peninsula. That makes this a shared expedition for a channel whose most-watched regular upload follows him camping alone in Alaska's winter backcountry.
The recent outings have offered different kinds of company: beach camping with his brother Nathan and their dad, then a remote Innoko River trip with Nathan in search of northern pike and sheefish.
