The casting judges want something different, so Tata turns her hair into a vampire cape. "You see my cape?" she asks, before adding a hiss. Ghostface's familiar menace has become a rather less conventional audition.

NowThis posted the staged comedy sketch as "tata reads for ghostface", the most-watched of its eight uploads this week, with roughly 6,300 views. Tata starts with a deep, threatening delivery of a Scream line, then takes increasingly unlikely direction from the judges: first French, then kitty, then vampire. One viewer picks out the cape moment; another comments on the performers' confidence and their dynamic.

The audition format also supplies the channel's busiest video right now: "miranda reads for vito coreleone". Its total is close to Tata's, but it is drawing substantially more daily viewing. The Godfather character makes a different kind of casting assignment from a masked horror villain, while keeping the same invitation to play with a familiar movie role.

Elsewhere, New York street comedy finds outfit inspiration in a garbage bin, and "anyone looking for a roommate?" adds a scripted ensemble installment. The lineup also includes an Audible-sponsored dating-comedy upload, "girls are the FBI 🔎 #AudiblePartner".

Subscribers were unchanged over the week, and daily viewing is below half its usual level. Among similarly sized broadcaster channels, 7NEWS Australia and ITV News had much busier viewing weeks. NowThis' week, though, belongs to its comedy feed, with Miranda's mock audition supplying the strongest continuing momentum.
