¿Qué pasó hoy en Plaza Satélite? Movilización policiaca por reporte de persona caída
Police vehicles and yellow tape surround a parking entrance at Plaza Satélite, while the shopping mall continues operating without an evacuation. The mall is in Naucalpan, northwest of Mexico City, in the State of Mexico.
In the October 27 report from Mexico's NMás news network, reporter Luis Carlos says unofficial accounts point to a person falling from the building. He repeatedly notes that authorities have not confirmed those accounts. The person's identity and condition remain unknown in the broadcast.
The camera shows municipal police and security personnel at a distance behind the cordon. Luis Carlos says forensic specialists are expected to arrive, but the report does not show their arrival or give an official explanation for the police response.
Despite the restricted access around the parking area, stores remain open and customers have not been asked to leave, the reporter says. The studio closes the segment awaiting further information about the person's condition.
A shopping mall in Ciudad Satélite, in the northwest of Greater Mexico City. It opened in 1971 and has more than 240 stores and services.
