13:20The decisive final play begins, with Kansas City trying to score at the goal line.

How do you erase an eleven-point deficit against Kansas City and still need a last-play escape? Denver's answer involved fourth-down touchdowns, Jonah Coleman and a defense that had to hold out until the clock expired.

The NFL's Week 8 highlights show Bo Nix bringing the Broncos back after Patrick Mahomes finds Noah Gray for a third-quarter touchdown. Nix answers with a fourth-and-goal scoring pass to Nate Adkins, then connects with Jaylen Waddle for the two-point conversion.

Coleman supplies the next swing: a screen pass takes Denver into the red zone before his short touchdown run puts the Broncos ahead. Kansas City still gets to the doorstep. A false start pushes the Chiefs back, and Mahomes goes down by contact on the final play, sealing Denver's 28-24 win.

The full highlights have drawn more than two million views, far beyond the NFL channel's usual opening-day audience. A separate upload devoted to the ending is also drawing an unusually large crowd, alongside Shorts of Denver's goal-line stand. The Eagles-Commanders and Patriots-Dolphins highlights have had strong starts too, but Chiefs-Broncos leads those regular-video uploads in estimated first-day views.

In the comments, viewers pick out Coleman's contribution and the late defensive stop. One recalls taking the family to a first Broncos game and leaving without a voice; another examines the narrow passing lane Nix finds on a throw to Courtland Sutton. The conversation stretches from the final scramble back to the throws that made Denver's comeback possible.

What viewers say

I took my family to watch it and it was amazing!

It was my first Broncos game, and let's just say, my voice is gone.

GO BRONCOS!

Jonah Coleman had himself a day today. The Broncos woke up to play in the 4th quarter

I don't particularly like or dislike Bo Nix but his throw at 5:23, through closing coverage, over the hips of the back and Sutton to land it in Sutton's hands in full stride through that tight a lane was superb. Sutton is the definition of a professional, NFL-caliber receiver. Again, I'm not even really a fan of these players...but that was just brilliant. The skill level is scary.

Well, I've kind of come to accept that this is the kind of team we are. I don't know how we keep doing it, but we keep pulling it out. And of course it had to be the most nail biting and stressful way possible. I'm honestly just lost for words. Gg, Chiefs. Let's go, Broncos.
