How do you follow an off-balance bank shot? For Luka Dončić, the answer includes a deep three and a step-back that beats the halftime buzzer.

NBA Europe's Lakers-Raptors highlight reel has drawn more than 35,000 views before its first day was over, already well beyond the channel's usual opening-day audience for regular videos. The scoring is the headline attraction, but the reel has room for the less obvious work, too.

Early on, Dončić strips the ball and throws it off an opponent to keep possession for the Lakers. He threads a pass underneath to a cutting teammate for a dunk, then later escapes pressure with an outlet pass that travels the length of the court for another finish.

Still, the shooting provides the running commentary's most emphatic moments. After the off-balance shot drops, the announcer declares: "And he banked it in! And he called bank!"

In the comments, viewers bring up MVP voting, while one compares the halftime step-back to an animation from the NBA 2K games. NBA Europe has also given the bank shot and a deep three their own separate uploads, pulling individual moments out of a performance with plenty to choose from.
