One of the world’s most famous actors survives assassination attempt

Phone footage shows a gray BMW surrounded by people before shots are fired on a Mumbai street. In its report, news.com.au identifies the passenger as Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff and describes the shooting as an assassination attempt.

The outlet reports that Shroff was leaving a football match in Juhu on Sunday evening when gunmen riding a motorcycle opened fire on his vehicle. Shroff survived, while his chauffeur and an autorickshaw driver were injured by gunfire and shattered glass.

The report begins with a content warning and moves from bystander footage to police securing the scene and forensic experts examining it. It also describes an online claim of responsibility and a threat against others in the film industry. Specialized crime branch teams have been deployed to investigate, the outlet says.

The Short drew roughly 62,000 views in its first day, about eleven times the channel's usual start for that format.
