Comedian Josh Johnson orders his last meal at Mythical Kitchen

The Daily Show regular's episode drew more than 1.3 million views and brought along two side dishes, a tasting video and a surprise for his mom.

Josh Johnson carried the week. The comedian sat down for Last Meals, the series in which a guest names the food they would want at the very end, and his episode went up on September 24 alongside a companion video asking whether viewers would eat the same plate. A few days later came "Surprising Josh Johnson's Mom," so one guest ended up filling three of the channel's ten new uploads. Johnson is best known for his stand-up and his work on The Daily Show, and the description points fans toward his Comedy Band Camp tour.

Will Poulter dropped by too, in a clip that asks whether he ordered too much food. That question fits the series rather neatly.

The biggest total, though, belongs to Mythical Chef Josh Scherer and a blade. "Josh's Sword vs. Cabbage" is the most watched of the new videos, at well over a million and a half views. And the newest arrival, "1 Free Weasel Fact For You," has been moving fastest of all, with roughly 700,000 views in its first day. Nothing in the title connects it to food, which may be part of the appeal.

Among cooking and food channels of a similar size, Addie Bowley is having the standout stretch, running well above her usual pace. Tasting History with Max Miller is holding steady. Mythical Kitchen, meanwhile, had a comedian, an actor, a cabbage and a weasel.
