Julie Kobylarz has a quiet raccoon in a cardboard box and a question that needs careful handling: does strange behavior mean rabies?
The animal had been wandering clumsily near a porch. In Mousetales' most watched new upload, Julie points out engorged ticks, sores and an unusually slow, confused temperament. "Oh, you're so polite," she tells it, but that docility is part of what concerns her.
She explains that Michigan does not have the raccoon strain of rabies and that bats account for most rabies cases there. She suspects head trauma or distemper, then transfers the raccoon into a carrier to go to another rehabilitator for further testing. The video ends with transport, not a confirmed diagnosis. Viewers offer several possible explanations, while others discuss what they know about wildlife disease in their own areas.
That upload has reached roughly 100,000 views. Elsewhere in the eight-video week, Julie returned to humane mouse relocation and urged people to call a rehabilitator when a baby wild animal readily approaches humans. The newest "stage 5 clinger" upload has the strongest daily momentum, followed by her squirrel-themed "married" post and the raccoon assessment.
Mousetales collected about 2.5 million views across the week, with subscribers unchanged and daily viewing close to its usual level. Among nearby animal channels, TheGoodHype and Raja and David had much larger viewing weeks. Here, the distinctive detail is smaller: a seemingly cooperative patient whose behavior gives Julie more questions to investigate.
