Why would a conservative commentator spend a whole episode defending a TV journalist from a Hollywood movie? Matt Walsh's answer arrived in Ep. 1846, where he calls Robert Pattinson's new film Primetime "evil propaganda" and, per the description, argues it is built to defame Chris Hansen, the host best known for NBC's To Catch a Predator.
The episode opened as the fastest thing on the channel, and Walsh did not leave the subject alone. "Hollywood hates Chris Hansen and here's why" went up the same day and is running almost as quickly, with a third Hansen clip, "Chris Hansen's true character captured on camera," close behind. Three of the channel's busiest videos right now are about one man.
The rest of a fifteen-upload week was classic Walsh material. His short about a Massachusetts lesbian bar ending its mask mandate, which the description frames as nearly impossible to satirize, has the biggest total of the week, past 300,000 views. "Meet the world's worst lawyer" followed on the same day.
Overall the channel ran a touch below its usual daily pace, and subscriber growth sat flat. Among political commentators, Walsh is sixth of nine by subscribers, just above The Rubin Report and his own home network, The Daily Wire.
