Sjokz sends G2 to the Worlds desk's paper shredder

A hypothetical quarterfinal selection turns into apologies, groans and an unusually busy comment section on LoL Esports.

Why this story? The video opened at a pace of 210,454 views a day, 12 times a normal first day on this channel (17,465).

Sacrifices must be madeSacrifices must be made

Praising G2 Esports does not save their paper logo. Sjokz feeds it into an electric shredder anyway, then apologizes while the broadcast desk groans around her.

The rule in LoL Esports' "Sacrifices must be made" is deliberately unforgiving: each panelist can send only one team from their region to the quarterfinals. The rest go through the machine. This is a comedy segment, not an actual tournament elimination, but the desk gives each destroyed placard the appropriate send-off.

Raz puts Team Liquid into the shredder almost immediately, prompting shouted objections. The discussion of Korean teams spares T1 and sacrifices Hanwha Life Esports. Then comes Sjokz's European dilemma. After disposing of G2, she refuses to make another choice, leaving someone else to grab Karmine Corp's sign.

The Short drew an estimated 210,000 views in its first day, roughly twelve times the channel's usual Shorts start. Comments were similarly far above their usual pace. Viewers point to the audible crowd reaction, joke about the shredder itself and notice the unfamiliar sound of Sjokz being addressed as Eefje.

The gag sits alongside real qualification stakes: the channel's "One Goes Through. One Goes Home" preview sets up Karmine Corp's elimination match against CFO. On the desk, at least, their fate takes only a sheet of paper.
