You Didn’t Expect This Bracket 👀

CoreJJ has little comfort to offer after Team Liquid's opening Worlds defeats. "We didn't even fight back, we didn't even show up anything," he says in LoL Esports' elimination-day preview.

The tournament's official channel posted "You Didn't Expect This Bracket 👀" ahead of matches that would send teams home. It is a promotional tournament preview built around player interviews and gameplay, with a particularly uncomfortable assignment for TLAW and AL: the regional first seeds meet with neither having won a series.

Elsewhere in the elimination bracket, LOS face Team Secret Whales. An orange-jerseyed player describes the rapid turnaround from regional competition to traveling to Texas, while a Team Secret player explains the disappointment of reaching this point without a win.

Then comes a different way of handling Worlds pressure. Faker, whose defending champion T1 team is paired with CFO, emphasizes preparation and confidence rather than concentrating solely on results. The contrast gives the preview something beyond a list of fixtures: players facing very different circumstances are trying to keep their attention on what they can still control.

The Short reached about 140,000 views in its first 17 hours, already far beyond the channel's usual first-day Shorts audience. Viewers are discussing the prospect of either TLAW or AL leaving early, with some urging Team Liquid to stay mentally strong. The channel also has the full TLAW-AL broadcast available for readers ready to move from the pre-match nerves to the series itself.
