'May vs can': LOL Club's classroom grammar joke leads fifteen shorts
Every one of the week's uploads went up on October 1, from a Great Wall gag to a short promising a face reveal.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
May vs can
Among the clips and compilation channels close to its size, LOL Club sits squarely in the middle, sixth of nine both by subscribers and by views gained over the week. Its week was busier than usual, though: the channel ran clearly above its ordinary daily pace, adding a little over two million views.
The uploads arrived all at once. Fifteen shorts went up on October 1, with titles as brief as the clips themselves: "Wall of china," "Only essay!," "Trolling!," "Softball pants!" and "Face reveal!" Two of them finished almost level at the top, but "May vs can" is the one still gathering views fastest. It is the oldest classroom correction in the book, the teacher who answers "Can I go to the bathroom?" with "I don't know, can you?"
The comments read like a school hallway. Several viewers say they have given up and now ask with a single word, another says their class has a hand signal for it, and a cluster are racing to be first. "Face reveal!" is the other one to watch: it had the slowest first day of the batch and is now among the quickest movers.
Subscribers barely moved, with about a thousand added, so the extra views came mostly from people who were already watching.
