NEW: Brazil re-elects President Lula, Trump ally Bolsonaro rejects results

Shawna Khalafi moves from the declaration of a winner to packed streets in São Paulo, where crowds are reacting to Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva's re-election. Then comes the unresolved challenge: Flávio Bolsonaro has refused to concede and wants the result annulled.

The LiveNOW from FOX report identifies Bolsonaro as a Trump ally and Lula as the winner of a fourth presidential term. Flávio is the son of former president Jair Bolsonaro, giving the contest a familiar family name but a different candidate.

The short bulletin drew an ordinary audience for the channel, but an unusually busy response: more than 1,100 comments in its first day, roughly ten times the usual number. Election legitimacy dominates the discussion; commenters' accusations do not establish wrongdoing.

Khalafi reports that the vote count is complete. The broadcast alternates live aerial views of São Paulo's crowded streets with archival footage of Lula greeting supporters beneath umbrellas in the rain.
