Eggs off the roof: Lively Lewis Show's two-week-old drop wakes up
Kids against parents, one homemade casing each and one rule about cracked shells, and the video picked up most of its views in a single day.
Why this story? The video is running at 271,864 views a day, 71 times its usual pace (3,819).
We Built Egg Protectors… If Our Egg Cracks, We Lose!
"We Built Egg Protectors… If Our Egg Cracks, We Lose!" is the classic egg drop challenge, done as a family game. The two kids at the heart of Lively Lewis Show and their Mom and Dad each built a casing for a raw egg, and then, the description says, they dropped them off their own roof. The tags call it kids against parents, so every shell carries a point for one side.
The video went up on September 18 and spent its first two weeks at an easy pace. Then it took off. In a single day it added more than 270,000 views, about seventy times its usual daily pace. Most of its 340,000 views arrived in that one stretch.
The comment section stayed small through all of it. The few notes there are short greetings and simple thank-yous for the videos, not a debate about whose egg survived.
It fits what the channel's about text promises, a family that likes to rope Mom and Dad into silly challenges, where sometimes the plan works and sometimes it goes completely wrong. The other uploads since have kept to that mix. The mermaid-powers video, as we reported here, is now past a quarter of a million views. Since then the channel has posted a sleeping-dinosaur joke and, most recently, a short about a band with a secret member.
