- 1:14Pate argues that Notre Dame must beat Miami to keep its playoff hopes alive.
- 3:26He questions Alabama's fifth-place ranking despite two losses.
- 6:50Ohio State's placement below Indiana prompts his argument that difficult nonconference scheduling is being punished.
- 12:35He sees a possible route into the playoff for multiple three-loss SEC teams.
- 15:48BYU, Utah and Texas Tech could all build resumes deserving top-12 consideration, he argues.
- 16:47Wake Forest's route depends on winning out, reaching the ACC title game and teams above it falling.
"Is the committee just Nick Saban, Jesse?" Josh Pate asks his off-screen producer. Alabama's placement has stopped him short, and the joke gives way to a plain verdict: "Alabama's too high."
The most watched new upload on Josh Pate's College Football Show, "CFP Rankings Reaction...WHAT Are We Doing? - Josh Pate's College Football Show", has reached roughly 300,000 views. Pate questions how a two-loss Alabama landed fifth, then examines the committee's explanation for the credit it gave the Mississippi State win. His broader concern is consistency: why, he asks, does Ohio State's demanding schedule leave it so far below Indiana?
The comments have their own version of that discussion. Some self-described Alabama supporters question the placement too, while others make cases for UCLA and Kentucky. One viewer describes heading straight to Pate's channel after the rankings appeared, a small glimpse of the ritual these reaction episodes have become.
There was plenty beyond the committee. Pate posted previews of Miami-Notre Dame, Kentucky-Tennessee and Georgia-Ole Miss, followed by an episode devoted to upset alerts and playoff chaos scenarios. In the rankings reaction, he makes Notre Dame's stakes particularly blunt: he says it must beat Miami to keep its playoff hopes alive.
The channel's audience grew, though subscriber additions were slower than its month-long pace. Daily viewing is modestly above usual. Among nearby sports channels, The Deep 3 had a much larger viewing week, while Kenny For Real was quieter.
Pate's freshest momentum belongs to "Biggest CFB Saturday In History? - Josh Pate's College Football Show", with the Georgia-Ole Miss preview also gathering views faster than the rankings reaction. The committee supplied the argument; the game previews supply the next test of it.

There’s no perfect ranking, but definitely think they should’ve ranked UCLA & UK in the 5/6 slots just ahead of Bama, BYU, & Texas in any order. That would’ve been more digestible.
