British Grandparents try Biscuits and Gravy for the first time!
Josh and Ollie spent the week cooking their way across the American South for an audience of British grandparents. Southern fried chicken came first, then biscuits and gravy, pecan pie and collard greens, with a second fried chicken episode closing the run on the last day of September.
The biscuits and gravy episode is the one people keep pressing play on. Four days in, it has passed three and a half million views and is still drawing more each day than anything else on the channel. The first fried chicken visit sits just behind it in total, though at a gentler daily pace now. The collard greens episode carries the boldest title of the set, promising minds blown by a pot of greens, and it found about half a million viewers in its first day.
The odd one out is "Ollie learns Gen-Alpha Slang!", posted before the Southern menu began. It has moved far more slowly than the food, which is perhaps no surprise on a channel built around two friends feeding things to people back home.
The subscriber count kept climbing, by around ten thousand a day, and it now sits a little above 5.4 million. Among the food channels nearest JOLLY in size, Nick's Kitchen is the one running above its usual pace. Ha Sisters and FutureCanoe are both quieter than normal.
