No new departure. Jet Lag: The Game posted nothing this week, but its archive brought in about 810,000 views, with Japanorama supplying the channel's busiest episodes right now.
The opening installment, "We Raced The Entire Length Of Japan", remains the strongest daily draw. It sends Sam Denby and Ben Doyle, paired against Adam Chase and Tom Scott, from Nishi-Ōyama toward Wakkanai. Public transit provides the route, but the challenge board controls when they can cross a prefectural border. A train timetable alone won't get them there.
In Kagoshima, both pairs initially try a scavenger hunt. Rain makes the search awkward, and Sam and Ben abandon it for a traditional Japanese archery challenge at Sengan-en. Adam and Tom keep searching around Amu Plaza and the nearby streets. "We immediately crumbled under pressure," Sam says of his team's change of plan. The opener has now passed 2.3 million views.
The finale and episode seven follow it among the channel's busiest uploads, giving both ends of the Japan journey a place in this quieter posting week. Subscribers held steady, while daily views are running below the channel's usual level.
Among nearby travel channels, Walk With Me Tim had a growing subscriber audience and a larger weekly view gain; DownieLive, like Jet Lag, held steady on subscribers. For Jet Lag, the activity is in the existing journey: the opening challenge board is drawing slightly more daily viewing than the finish.
