CIA operatives on Easter Island might suggest an action movie. Jeremy Jahns wants you to expect something else: John Malkovich and Sam Rockwell talking, sparring and working through what they will leave behind.
"Wild Horse Nine - Movie Review" was the most-watched of his two uploads this week, reaching roughly 202,000 views. Martin McDonagh's film follows the operatives in 1973, but Jeremy's interest lies in its dry comedy, male friendship and questions of honesty. He also admires its lighting and cinematic texture, and predicts awards attention for both stars. His verdict lands at "No alcohol required."
The question he leaves viewers with, about their favorite dialogue-driven films, turns the comments into a useful movie-night shelf. Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, The Big Lebowski and Snatch recur alongside McDonagh's own In Bruges and The Banshees of Inisherin. Others make room for Clerks, 12 Angry Men and The Big Kahuna.
The week's other assignment offers considerably less sitting around talking. "Everest: The Other Side - Movie Review" covers a documentary about climbing Everest's North Face and then skiing down it. That newer review is currently drawing the most daily views in Jeremy's catalog. Wildwood and Clayface also remain busy, with the latter approaching a million views.
Subscribers held steady, while daily viewing is running at less than half Jeremy's usual pace. Nearby movie commentator Chris Stuckmann is also below his usual daily viewing, whereas MovieFlame is above its own. For Jeremy, the freshest momentum belongs to the mountain documentary, a very different proposition from McDonagh's wordy island trip.

McDonagh's own "The Banshees of Inisherin" is a recent favorite for dialogue-driven films. Absolute love that movie. For classic, gotta be "Glengarry Glen Ross".
