El-Sayed offers Trump a metal-detector deal
Jennifer Welch and Don Lemon react to the Michigan candidate's rally challenge in an unusually fast-starting I've Had It Short.
Why this story? The video opened at a pace of 120,065 views a day, 8 times a normal first day on this channel (15,020).
El-Sayed DESTROYS #trump at PACKED Rally!!
"I'll go through a metal detector if you'll sit for a lie detector," Abdul El-Sayed tells Donald Trump in rally footage that gives Jennifer Welch and Don Lemon plenty to react to.
The Michigan Democratic Senate nominee's challenge is the centerpiece of a short podcast reaction clip on I've Had It. It drew roughly 120,000 views in its first day, about eight times the channel's usual start for a Short.
El-Sayed is responding to a metal-detector remark, then turns the exchange into a hypothetical interrogation. Among the questions he proposes asking Trump: "Did you win the 2020 election?" The clip presents a campaign taunt, not an agreed test or an encounter between the two men.
Lemon and Welch watch the rally excerpt and laugh during El-Sayed's proposed questioning. "He's so good," Lemon says. Welch agrees, then adds her own demand for a televised cognitive test.
The exchange puts the rally speaker at the center of a channel usually identified with Welch and co-host Angie "Pumps" Sullivan. Here, Lemon joins Welch as the reaction partner, with El-Sayed supplying the setup and the punch line.
