Dylan Novak counts down, crouches beside a French bulldog and gets ready to direct a dance. The dog has a barstool and a ring light; Novak has an assistant helping to guide its gaze.

His new behind-the-scenes Short shows the pair gesturing toward opposite sides, encouraging the dog to look left and right with the music. The head turns come, and both humans laugh. Then the edit switches to the finished footage, with Novak seated beside his canine partner, matching its movements.

The comparison has reached about 636,000 views in 13 hours, already comfortably beyond the audience his Shorts usually draw across a full first day. This time, the preparation is as much the subject as the dance itself.

Viewers are discussing the directions, with one suggesting the dog went the right way and another questioning why it was being prompted the other way. That left-right confusion is familiar territory for Novak: his most-watched Short also builds its joke around "your other left." Two other Storm Shorts have also passed a million views, giving the dog-led routines another pair of milestones.
