Storm stays on the stool. Everyone else drops.

In Dylan Novak's living-room dance Short, Novak and a woman suddenly land face-down on the floor together, leaving their French bulldog looking back and forth between them. The humans have rehearsed their cue; Storm supplies the reaction.

That little pause has helped the clip reach about 1.7 million views in just under a day, far beyond the channel's usual Shorts start. Then the choreography resumes: Novak lifts Storm and moves his front paws to the music, before the woman spins into frame holding the dog.

Storm's uncertain participation is a recurring part of Novak's dance videos. His most-watched Shorts include routines titled around getting the dog to turn the right way, so this latest sideways glance fits an established joke rather than a new direction for the channel.

Another Storm upload, whose title jokes that he might eventually get it right, is also drawing an unusually quick audience. Between the two, Novak has made the missed cue as much a part of the routine as the dancing.
