Storm sticks to the left in Dylan Novak's dance routine

The French bulldog misses a musical cue, and viewers offer a small defense of his sense of direction.

Dylan Novak gently turns Storm's head to get the routine started. When the music cues a turn in the opposite direction, Novak follows along, but his French bulldog looks back to the left. Novak smiles at him. So much for synchronized choreography.

The Short drew roughly 1.3 million views in its first day, far above the usual opening for Novak's short videos. It is another outing for a familiar joke on the channel: Novak knows the steps, while Storm supplies the interruption.

Some viewers are prepared to argue the dog's case, pointing out that Storm is looking to his own left. Others skip the directional debate and ask Novak to give him his treats. That is a request from the comments, not an explanation of what distracted him.

The left-right mix-up has staying power in Novak's uploads. An earlier October Short with the same "other left" premise has just passed ten million views, while a separate behind-the-scenes upload has also crossed the million-view mark. Here, though, the whole joke needs only a head turn and Novak's glance at his uncooperative dance partner.
