Beetlejuice's hat enters Ivan Mars' Jack Skellington cameo hunt

The movie-trivia Short has passed 1.3 million views, with viewers debating where a cameo ends and an ordinary skeleton begins.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

A carousel hat, a pirate captain and even a cluster of bubbles become evidence in Ivan Mars - Movie Detective's latest movie-trivia hunt. The clips-and-commentary channel uses split-screen reactions and synthesized narration to point out supposed Jack Skellington appearances across six films.

The most intriguing stop comes early: a head on Beetlejuice's carousel hat, in a film released five years before The Nightmare Before Christmas. James and the Giant Peach supplies a pirate skeleton captain, while the Short also identifies possible sightings in The Princess and the Frog, Ralph Breaks the Internet, Sleepy Hollow and Finding Nemo. Those last kinds of resemblance leave room for a little detective work of the viewer's own.

Indeed, the comments turn on exactly that distinction. Several viewers question whether every stylized skull or skeleton should count as Jack; others suggest looking at Coraline's cooking scene for another possible reference. The suggestions are part of the conversation, not confirmation of extra cameos.

Three uploads made up the Halloween-themed week, and the Jack hunt was comfortably the most watched. It is also drawing the most daily viewing now, with a September Avengers Short close behind and the week's earlier Disney theory clip finding a substantial audience too.

Across the channel, viewing is running well above its usual daily pace. The week brought roughly 10,000 additional subscribers and the largest weekly view gain among its nearby movie-and-TV peers. Screen Bites is closer to its normal viewing rhythm, while StudioBinder is having a quieter spell. For Ivan Mars - Movie Detective, the familiar Marvel back catalog is contributing alongside the new Pumpkin King sightings.
