  6. 7:26Crystal and Gary's walk along the railway tracks leads to the scene's closing comic exchange.

The cigarette price is wrong. For Crystal, played by Betty Gilpin in The Hunt, that everyday detail is enough to unravel a roadside store's carefully arranged welcome.

Screen Bites' upload of the scene has drawn nearly 33,000 views in eleven hours, already far beyond the couple of thousand its regular videos usually receive across a full first day. This is an excerpt from the 2020 film, not a new production by the clips channel.

The upload, titled "She Knew Cigarettes Didn't Cost That Much (Full Scene) | The Hunt", puts Crystal opposite shopkeepers played by Amy Madigan and Reed Birney. They offer an Arkansas location and a convincing storefront. She notices what doesn't fit. A closer inspection reveals empty cigarette packs, while the pickup outside has another country's license plate concealed beneath its Arkansas one.

The pleasure of the sequence is in the practical details: Crystal checks the merchandise, looks beneath the plate and spots a dangerous mechanism attached to the truck door. The supposed refuge becomes a puzzle she can take apart.

Screen Bites also posted The Hunt's opening ambush and a train-car grenade sequence on the same date. Of those uploads, Crystal's cigarette purchase has drawn the most views.
