Four clips, two decades apart. Screen Bites spent its week moving between an animated dog rescue and a Texas high school in 1976, with an Eddie Murphy caper in between.

The liveliest of the new ones is "Max Risks Everything to Save Duke," from The Secret Life of Pets, Illumination's 2016 hit about what city dogs get up to when their owners leave for work. Right behind it, and only half a day old, comes Matthew McConaughey's "Alright, Alright, Alright" from Dazed and Confused, the Richard Linklater film that gave him his breakout role as Wooderson. It is the second Dazed clip of the week, after Slater's take on a school project. The Tower Heist scene, posted first, has gathered the most views of the four but has since slowed to a trickle.

Among the older clips, the Hit-Girl compilation from Kick-Ass and Kick-Ass 2 is still pulling steadily, twenty days in. The channel overall is running well below its usual daily pace, and subscribers held flat. Several neighbors, Scene Slice and Fear among them, had softer days too, while MovieGasm ran well above its norm.
