What does a bird need to conquer a fantasy realm? Hazzor's answer is unusually specific: "access to magical poisonous firearms." His only new upload, "I Gave Birds Guns To Conquer the World", turns Age of Wonders 4 into an avian empire-building story, complete with an osprey ruler and some very familiar naming choices.

The video is sponsored by Paradox Interactive. Hazzor starts with exploration and recruitment, winning over another bird settlement before founding Sesame Street under the governorship of Big Bird the Large. Diplomacy follows, though peaceful coexistence is hardly the organising principle here.

The most human moment belongs to a tactical retreat from doing the tactics himself. Struggling against Cynnea's forces, Hazzor hands a battle to auto-combat, then admits: "And as much as I hate to admit this, it did a way better job than me." Viewers, meanwhile, are discussing bird-name puns and offering advice about resurrecting fallen heroes. One spots the missed opportunity to name a bird-and-bear pairing after Banjo and Kazooie.

The campaign has reached roughly 271,000 views and supplies most of Hazzor's daily viewing right now. Across the channel, daily views are running at more than four times their usual pace, although subscribers held steady over the week. Among nearby strategy and role-playing channels, Xaryu had a particularly large viewing week; Hazzor's weekly views were also among the stronger totals in that group.

The older conquests haven't disappeared: his Songs of Syx bug horde remains the next-busiest upload, approaching a million views, followed by the RimWorld vampire cult serving Lord Braccus. Birds with rifles fit quite comfortably into that company.

  • RIP big bird, but unsure if you know this, but death of heroes is not permanent, they can be resurrected if you build the crypt in your capital (requires you to build the wizard tower)
