Good Morning America's standout this time has nothing to do with a weather map. Robin Roberts went to the Family Feud set outside Atlanta to talk with Steve Harvey about the show's 50th anniversary and its new season. The segment is moving at about fourteen times the pace a new GMA upload usually manages on its first day.
That is a change of subject. The channel's last two breakouts were a nor'easter hitting the East Coast and Hurricane Nolo passing Hawaii. It is not much of a stretch for the channel, though. Family Feud premiered on ABC, the network that airs GMA, in 1976, with Richard Dawson as its first host. His name turns up in the video's tags.
Harvey, the comedian from The Original Kings of Comedy, has hosted the show since 2010, so for many younger viewers he is the only Feud host they know. His half-century conversation with Roberts passed close to 50,000 views within a day.
