George J Saliba meets a GT-R owner afraid to add miles

The Nismo seller's auction souvenir tells one story, while his unused insurance tells another.

Why this story? The video opened at a pace of 304,481 views a day, 5.1 times a normal first day on this channel (60,135).

He NEVER Even DROVE His GTR?!He NEVER Even DROVE His GTR?!

He bought the Nissan at auction, had paint protection film applied and then struggled to give himself permission to enjoy it. The seller in George J Saliba's latest Short says he paid for a year's insurance without driving the car once that year.

The title, "He NEVER Even DROVE His GTR?!", needs that distinction: he did drive it a few times after buying it. But his 2023 GT-R Nismo still has just 547 miles, and keeping that mileage low has become an obstacle to using it at all.

"You don't buy a car to let it sit," he tells Saliba. "I feel bad driving it because there's no miles on it."

That collector's contradiction has drawn more than 210,000 views in twelve hours, an unusually quick start for Saliba's Shorts. The comments already outnumber his usual full first day several times over. Viewers debate preserving the car versus driving it, suggest an auction instead of a dealer sale and joke about their own considerably smaller impulse purchases.

This particular impulse began at Barrett-Jackson, where the seller had taken his father for a birthday outing. He spotted the Nissan, went onstage, bid and bought it.

An assistant brings over the original auction placard, which advertised an even lower-mileage car. Saliba decides the board should stay with the vehicle: "We're going to market this with the car."
