Police officers were also wounded. Euronews reports that at least six people were killed and 15 injured when a gunman opened fire in Kraków's Main Square.
The report combines footage of emergency vehicles arriving with bystander recordings of people running across the square. Ambulances, firefighters and a medical rescue helicopter attend the scene. According to police, officers shot the suspect and he was taken to hospital.
The broadcaster says additional weapons and ammunition were found in the suspect's car. Its on-screen account states that the gunman fired at random people as he drove into the square.
The short report drew about 38,000 views in its first nine hours, an unusually large early audience for a Euronews Short. The broadcaster also posted a separate report on the shooting.
