MP3 Trailer [New Dropout Series]

"MP3 Trailer [New Dropout Series]" introduces a music-video show with a decidedly turn-of-the-millennium vocabulary: boy bands, celebrity interviews and countdown-show chaos. Dropout's trailer tags explicitly invoke MTV's Total Request Live, giving the new comedy series a familiar pop-TV world to play with.

The trailer was the most watched of Dropout's three new uploads, reaching about 359,000 views. Jeremy Culhane and Paul F. Tompkins are among the names attached, alongside Skye Townsend and Aparna Nancherla. In the comments, viewers are celebrating Jeremy getting a show, recognizing Princess Emily and requesting reunions for fictional musical acts. There are also some very reasonable questions about what, exactly, the format will be. The description supplies the essentials: new music videos, hosts and surprise guests each episode.

Elsewhere, "Hot Peasant Summer | Toonout [Animated Shorts]" gives Brooke and Haley a party that apparently survives being flushed back to the 14th century. It is already the channel's second-most active upload, while the older "My Husband | Toonout [Animated Shorts]" keeps Otto's love-and-loathing marital melodrama in circulation.

The subscriber count stayed unchanged, and daily viewing is running at roughly a quarter of its usual level. Among neighboring entertainment channels, Adult Swim is enjoying above-usual daily viewing, while BBC and HISTORY are also having slower days.

Dropout's other new upload serves as the weekly program guide: Demi Adejuyigbe, Amber Ruffin and Roz Hernandez on Crowd Control, Emily taking over Dimension 20: Toylight, and Smartypants appearances from Ryan Creamer, Jeff Whitaker and Corin Wells.
