Young Stolas Meets Vassago | Helluva Boss Season 3 | Prime Video

"Is it too much?" Stolas asks, dressed for a visit that is supposedly about practicing magic. Mortimer's answer is practical: "Then, perhaps lose the ruffles."

In "Young Stolas Meets Vassago | Helluva Boss Season 3 | Prime Video," the royal apprentice has found someone who makes studying feel rather less academic. Bryce Pinkham voices Stolas, with Harvey Guillén as Vassago, in a flashback to their training under Master Barbatos.

The clip on Prime Video AU & NZ reached roughly 160,000 views in nine hours, already far beyond the channel's usual full-day audience for a Short. It follows the channel's scenes of the pair singing together and navigating Stella's hostility, but goes back to the nervous beginnings of their bond.

Stolas's journal narration lets us hear the excitement he is trying to contain. He dresses up, rushes to the door and introduces Vassago to his garden plants by name. Their tutoring arrangement brings shared laughter and, eventually, constellation magic in the library.

Viewers are picking out the gap between Stolas's eager dash to greet Vassago and his attempt at a casual hello. Mortimer's quietly supportive role is another recurring topic: amid all the magic and royal expectations, someone still has to help Stolas choose an outfit.

What viewers say

0:53 I love Stolas trying to be nonchalant with his little “Hey”, which contrasts with him exclaiming “Vassago!” just seconds earlier.
