When Two Goats Meet 🥶🐐

Iker Casillas scores from halfway, Gianluigi Buffon returns the favour, and the two goalkeepers share a laughing embrace. Then CoxerEdit turns back the clock to a meeting where neither was feeling quite so generous.

The football fan-edit channel's "When Two Goats Meet 🥶🐐" cuts from footage labelled as a friendly Icons Match to Spain and Italy's Euro 2008 quarter-final shootout. It has drawn about 1.4 million views in sixteen hours, already far beyond the channel's usual first-day audience for Shorts.

This is an edited montage of match footage, not a new interview or a film made by the goalkeepers. Its contrast is simple: the friendly reunion gives way to Buffon diving to deny Dani Güiza, then Casillas parrying Daniele De Rossi's penalty. The on-screen danger rating jumps from near-harmless to maximum as the exhibition smiles disappear.

Viewers are picking up on the goalkeeper pairing rather than just the saves. Several discuss their standing in football history, one recalls their captaincy, and another turns the title into a goalkeeper pun. For a channel whose recent edits have centred on Messi, Neymar and Barcelona's comeback, this upload gives the men stopping the goals their turn.
