A short about discipline in the French Foreign Legion led a Saturday when two of Andy Stumpf's clips ran far ahead, and it turned the comments into a contest of building jokes.

Cleared Hot is the podcast of Andy Stumpf, the former Navy SEAL who has spent years sitting across from people from the military world and asking them about it. Its newest hit is a short about the French Foreign Legion and the way it punishes its own: "The Legion's CRAZY Punishment 🤣".

A short on the channel usually opens with about 20,000 views on its first day. This one passed 225,000, and a little over a day after going up it was close to 290,000. It had company. "Military Hygiene Is Next Level!", posted the same Saturday, was not far behind, so two quick clips carried the weekend, while the channel as a whole sits a little below its usual daily pace.

The title does not say who is telling the story, but the comments make clear what the punishment involves. Viewers write about rocks and jail, and the most liked joke, repeated in several versions, is that this must be how the pyramids were built. One commenter explains that "taule" is old French slang for jail. Another, who signs off with the 2nd Foreign Parachute Regiment, says he built a few of these himself. A former soldier compares it to the log carries he hated, and decides the rocks sound easier.

The Legion is clearly on Stumpf's mind. A day later the channel followed with "The 3 types of Men In The Legion!", alongside his regular Negligent Discharge Friday episodes, where the latest one reopened his Roberts Ridge series and promised the other side of that story in mid-October.
