Cesar Millan's Better Human Better Dog episode follows the effort to make home feel manageable again. It drew an estimated 55,000 views in its first day, nearly ten times the usual start for his regular videos.
Millan identifies fear as the problem behind Murphy's reactions. Watching from outside while a crew member knocks on the door, he sees a dog who is scared and uncertain. His work soon turns toward Mike, Murphy's affectionate, laid-back owner, and the clearer direction Millan wants him to provide.
"You are like a teddy bear. Be more like a gorilla," Millan tells him. He means calm, upright confidence, not anger. At the Dog Psychology Center, Lorenzo the llama becomes an unexpected participant in Mike's posture lesson as he learns to lead Murphy past the ranch animals.
Murphy stays for several weeks of work that includes bike rides and repeated exposure to unfamiliar people touching him, with a soft muzzle used as a safety tool. Millan then coaches Mike through putting on the muzzle and handling Murphy without tension.
In the comments, viewers discuss why petting a tense dog may not settle him, while others single out Mike's changing confidence. The episode's practical test comes back at home: guests arrive for a party, and Mike must put the ranch lessons to use at his own front door.

What viewers say
Cesar taught me that petting a dog DOES NOT make them calm or comfort them when they are already tense. But that also applies to people, if we think about it. We wouldn't go touching someone who was tense and nervous, we would try to help them calm down first. So simple and so logical.
