Watch: Dad evacuated from Southern Ukraine reunited with family amid ceasefire #shorts

The family is waiting beside the bus with Ukrainian flags. As the father steps down, a young woman reaches him immediately, wrapping him in an embrace that lasts as photographers and bystanders look on.

CBS News identifies him as a father evacuated from Oleshky in southern Ukraine and says the reunion took place while a U.S.-brokered ceasefire held. Oleshky lies on the left bank of the Dnieper River in the Kherson region.

The footage adds a close-up family moment to coverage of the evacuation: the pair hold each other and exchange kisses on the cheek before an older woman comes forward to hug him. The family then gathers around him in a shared embrace.

Near the end, the father addresses his girls and tells them he is home. The CBS clip has drawn about 163,000 views since yesterday.
