Hugo Martin pauses the demon-slaying long enough to address the balancing questions. "We are buffing the Cycler, we're buffing lots of things," he says during Bethesda Softworks' latest Slayers Club Live, where community feedback shares the screen with a preview of November's Slaughter Mode.
The stream was the most-watched of Bethesda Softworks' three uploads this week, reaching roughly 34,000 views. Senior community lead Joshua Boyle joins Martin to reveal Maykr weapon skins and a reel of the mode's 19 arenas. They discuss varied layouts and randomized monster spawning before Martin returns to Purgatory, gathers relic pieces and enters Hell's Core. It's part developer conversation, part playthrough, with a substantial horror-movie detour along the way.
The comments have their own priorities: when Slaughter Mode arrives, whether a Zombie DOOM Slayer cosmetic could join it, and which demons deserve favorite status. One viewer also singles out Martin's habit of crediting developers by name, a small detail that makes a large production feel more personal.
Fallout supplied the week's other two official promotional uploads. "Fight The Slasher" features Fallout 76's Reborn Pint-Sized Slasher in Head Hunts, while "POV: you're just trying to be friends with Vault Boy" is currently attracting the most daily viewing of the three, despite being the newest.
The subscriber count held steady, and daily channel viewing is running below its usual level. Among nearby gaming channels, World of Warcraft and Zenless Zone Zero had much larger weeks for views and both added subscribers. Bethesda Softworks' week was smaller, with its fullest new offering giving DOOM players a look at the arenas and balance changes taking shape behind the action.
