"Ladies and gentlemen, Katie Zacharia lasted five days as the White House press secretary," Benny Johnson says in his opening line. The rest of his video is about who could follow her. His candidate is Nicki Minaj.

The title says the White House "just announced" a new press secretary. What the video shows is a pitch that picked up official company along the way. Johnson revisits his own post proposing the rapper for the podium, noting that Minaj and Maye Musk both liked it. He then plays her appearance beside Donald Trump in Port Huron, Michigan, and her own video touring the Air Force One cabin.

The White House link comes from Steven Cheung, the communications director, who posted: "Ladies and gentlemen, I think we may have found the new White House Press Secretary!" Cheung then plays reporter in a mock interview aboard the plane, asking Minaj about the economy and the polls. "Well, it's booming because we have a president that understands economics," she answers, and later suggests asking Hillary Clinton about "fake polls." Johnson calls it a winning audition: "She was funny. She was disarming." No announcement of her appointment appears in the video.

The upload drew close to 900,000 views in its first eleven hours, and its comments arrived more than three times faster than on a usual first day for Johnson's regular videos. Many viewers read the whole episode as Trump-style trolling, and plenty have suggestions of their own: Spencer Pratt, Scott Jennings and Kari Lake come up again and again, alongside fond mentions of earlier press secretaries.
