Anthony Mackie hunts Jamie Dornan's thief on a 12-day clock in 12 12 12

The two Synchronic co-stars move to opposite sides of a European bank job, and the comments keep asking why the show isn't arriving on December 12.

Why this story? The video opened at a pace of 1,009,175 views a day, 155 times a normal first day on this channel (6,513).

Twelve months to plan, twelve hours to pull it off, twelve days to get away. That is the arithmetic behind 12 12 12, and Apple TV's trailer has Anthony Mackie spell it out as a rule of the trade. His FBI investigator arrives at a ransacked vault and explains it calmly: "A bank robber who's not caught within 12 days is not caught at all."

Jamie Dornan is the man on the other side of that deadline, the mastermind who opens the trailer by calling the job "the biggest banking heist in the history of Europe." What follows moves fast: snowy mountains and drilling rigs, thieves emptying safety deposit boxes and celebrating among piles of cash, then snowmobile chases and gunfire. An accomplice drops the hint that will matter later: the authorities don't know what is really being taken.

Mackie's pursuit is not just professional. "He stole from me. And I believe in revenge," his character says. The two finally meet face to face at night, on a city street beside a Christmas tree, and Dornan gets the last word: only one of them should walk away.

The pairing has history. Mackie and Dornan played New Orleans paramedics in the 2019 science-fiction film Synchronic, and a few viewers are pleased to see them reunited. The show's tags also list a wider ensemble, including Kali Reis and Patrick Fabian.

The trailer passed roughly 770,000 views in its first 14 hours, and the comment section has filled far faster than usual for the channel's short videos. The most popular question is about the calendar: with a title like that, why does the series premiere on November 13 rather than December 12? Others point out that a certain Professor and his crew might dispute Dornan's claim to the biggest heist in Europe.
