A sideways kayak launch upends AFV Shorts' girls' trip

The dockside reassurance lasts only seconds, while viewers keep returning to the other woman waiting in her kayak.

Girls Trip is off to a great start! 🤣 #afv #fail #funny

How much reassurance can one friend give? "You're not going to tip over," a woman on the dock promises the passenger in a green kayak. Unfortunately, the launch plan involves pushing the boat sideways off the edge.

AFV Shorts' home-video clip turns that uneasy departure into a very wet start to a girls' trip. The kayak hangs diagonally at the dock before sliding into the water and overturning. Its passenger surfaces, grabs for her floating gear and paddle, and joins the laughter while her friends fold onto the dock boards.

The Short reached nearly 390,000 views in 16 hours, already far beyond the channel's usual full-day audience for this format. Its comment section is more than twenty-five times as busy as a typical first day, too.

Viewers are discussing the sideways launch, the reassurance that preceded it and the belated declaration that someone did it wrong. But the camera's final turn supplies another subject: a woman in an orange life vest, sitting in a red kayak and stuck awkwardly against the dock. Several comments single out her reaction. Getting the first boat into the lake has hardly settled the group's departure.
