The house had been rented through Airbnb, but its owner told 9 News Australia he did not know it would be used for a party. Outside, footage captured crowds fighting in the street and glass bottles being smashed.

Reporter Massilia Aili's report centres on a Halloween gathering in Marsden Park, in Sydney's north-west, advertised online with a paid entry fee. The gathering ended with police dispersing the crowd, backed by the riot squad and a police helicopter.

9News reports that an adult partygoer suffered a slash wound to the arm and that police made an arrest. A local resident, Evelyn, describes the difficulty of dealing with the disturbance.

The Short drew roughly 174,000 views in twenty hours, far beyond the channel's usual first-day audience for that format.

Although its description highlights a coastal property in Sydney's east, the report covers two separate gatherings. It closes in Clovelly, where police also shut down a house party and an attendee describes people trying to jump the fence.
