Flight 1073 and Annie F. Downs share a 700 Club episode running eighteen times past usual
The full September 30 broadcast follows its own shorter pilot clip, pairing the hijacking alert over the Middle East with an interview about the barriers that hold people back.
Why this story? The video opened at a pace of 81,402 views a day, 19 times a normal first day on this channel (4,332).
Pilot Stabbed Mid-Flight On Plane Headed To Israel | The 700 Club
Eleven hours after it went up, the full September 30 edition of The 700 Club had passed 54,000 views. That pace puts it at roughly eighteen times what a new upload on the channel usually draws in its first day.
The news comes first. The episode opens with Flydubai Flight 1073 from Dubai to Tel Aviv, which, as the description tells it, suddenly transmitted 7500, the international code for possible unlawful interference or hijacking, and set off a major security alert across the region. The title adds that a pilot was stabbed in the air.
As we reported here, a shorter clip from the same news desk, asking what is known about the pilot at the center of the scare, got there first. It is still well ahead, with more than twice the episode's views. The long version is now following it. The channel's other uploads from that day sit at a couple of thousand views each: a podcast on who chose the books of the Bible, and a short asking whether you can sin in your dreams.
Under the episode, most of the comments give thanks that the plane landed safely.
The second half of the hour moves somewhere quieter. Annie F. Downs, the Nashville author and host of the That Sounds Fun podcast, joins the program to talk about her book "Don't Let That Hold You Back." The episode bills it as a guide to recognizing the invisible barriers that shape a life and learning to move past them. Anyone who arrived for the flight will find her waiting further in.
