Zenless Zone Zero's gamescom recap draws a third of its views in a day

A 17-day-old highlights reel from HoYoverse's booth jumped far past its usual pace while the rest of the channel had an ordinary day.

Zenless Zone Zero gamescom 2026 Highlights

For most of its short life, the gamescom highlights reel on the Zenless Zone Zero channel collected about a thousand views a day. Then it pulled in more than sixty thousand in one day. That is roughly a third of everything it had gathered since it went up in mid-September.

The jump stands out more because the channel around it was not especially busy. Across all its videos, the official channel drew a little less than it usually does, so the extra attention went to one older upload rather than to the whole catalog.

The video is a recap of the game's presence at gamescom, the big annual games fair in Cologne. The description stays in the game's own voice. It tells the "Proxies" that the highlights "have been archived" and thanks everyone who stopped by the booth. Proxies are the players' role in the story, guides who lead Agents through the ruined zones around New Eridu, the game's last surviving city.

Zenless Zone Zero comes from HoYoverse, the studio behind Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail. According to the channel's about page, the game's Version 3.2, "Their Secret Histories," is out now.
